Fast and easy
Asurion was great. My computer was not charging. I went to my policy in My Orders on Amazon and started a claim on line. Asurion sent protective packaging to ship the computer to them along with the UPS label (Asurion covers the cost of shipping). Asurion notified me when the computer was received, when it was being worked on, and when it was shipped back. The whole thing was done in less than a week. The coverage was money well spent.

Worth the extra money
We recently had to use our 4 year protection plan. After owning our laptop computer for 3 years one of the keys broke off. They sent us packaging to send the computer back and tried to fix it. They were unable to but gave a a full refund in the form of an Amazon gift card. We bought a new laptop and protection plan.

Excellent Service! - Your Laptop WILL Fail at Some Point
Excellent service! My PC laptop died (totally dead). They deemed it unrepairable and refunded my full Amazon purchase price as an Amazon gift card. They mailed me a postage paid box to send the computer to them. One hiccup: they sent the computer back untouched because they said it wasn't the one covered. I called them and they said to ship it back. It's a little confusing because you don't register the specific item insured with Asurion. I sent them a copy of my Amazon computer and Asurion purchases with the same date and everything was OK. Also, since I couldn't access my SSD because the laptop was dead, I was concerned with sensitive/confidential. I called Asurion and they said it was destroyed (hopefully that's true). My three words of wisdom: (1) it's not a matter of if, but when your laptop dies - so buy Asurion insurance; (2) don't store sensitive/confidential info on your laptop unless you plan on destroying it yourself when it fails; (3) back-up all your info to flash drives and external drives regularly (luckily I did).

Asurion stood by their insurance policy
Thank you Asurion for expediting my reimbursement once my computer crashed and was found in disrepair. Asurion did its best to assess and diagnose the computer multiple times before reimbursement, making sure to do its due diligence to repair the computer and communicate promptly. Asurion responded via phone and email and worked quickly to resolve my concerns after following its protocols. Thank you Asurion for your communication and professionalism. Through the process, Asurion was detailed and expeditious and the packaging was always easy and convenient to use and submit. Thanks again Asurion for following through on your insurance plan description!

A Mixed Bag: My Experience with Asurion Extended Insurance
Asurion has been a bit of a mixed bag for me. I've had multiple policies with them over the years, and it's definitely reassuring to know that I can get my devices repaired without extra cost. This has been especially helpful with my laptop, which has unfortunately needed a few repairs. Their claims process has become much more streamlined, and it's now easier to get a device sent back to them. They pay for shipping (mine was 1 or 2-day air with UPS) and even provide a padded box if needed. Plus, their customer service is accessible by phone or live chat. However, my most recent experience wasn't perfect. While the main issues were fixed, the laptop came back with a faulty touchscreen. It worked intermittently at first, but then failed completely within a week. On the plus side, the unit was clean, and the other repairs were successful. To be fair, my laptop has some special technology (a stylus and screen with AES in addition to the regular touchscreen), so this repair was probably more complex than usual. I likely wouldn't have had as much difficulty with a more standard laptop.Another downside is their policy terms. If a device can't be repaired, they don't reimburse the tax I originally paid or the remaining policy term. Instead, they refund the purchase price. While this helps, it can mean extra expense if the product was bought on sale or the price has gone up since then. In my case, this also meant I had to repay sales tax and other fees on the replacement, which added to the overall cost. Plus, I have to pay full price for a new policy.Despite these issues, I'm fairly happy with Asurion. Their insurance is valuable in situations where the risk of needing repairs and the potential costs are high. I think it's worth it for my daily driver devices, even if the price is a bit steep.Pros:Peace of mind knowing repairs are coveredHelpful for devices that are prone to issues or expensive to repairMultiple policies/plans availableStreamlined claims processFast shipping and packaging providedGood customer service optionsCons:Recent repair experience wasn't perfect (but likely due to the complexity of my device)Policy terms regarding refunds could be improvedPrice can be highNo reimbursement for sales tax or fees on replacementsOverall:Asurion is a decent option for extended insurance, but be aware of the potential downsides, especially regarding their replacement policies and the potential for additional expenses.
