Absolutely SHOCKED and impressed at the same time. 100/10 must have.
I felt compelled to write this review after a year into my 4 year Asurion purchase against a refurbished 2018 MacBook Pro. I've so far used Asurion twice.1. I accidentally dropped my laptop and busted the entire screen. REPLACED in a few days.2. One year later, my battery kept dying quickly - so I sent in a claim. REPLACED in 1.5 days!Each time they make it so easy. They send packaging, they send instructions, and they keep you updated along the way.I've always felt insurance companies similar to this is a scam, but I'm BEYOND impressed by these guys.Asurion, if you're reading this, THANK YOU. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep buying insurance.

Laptop Failed To Boot
This company sent a box to have the laptop shipped to them for repair or replacement. The laptop wouldn't boot backs the opening splash screen. They, according to the document sent back with the laptop, replaced some bad ram. The laptop now works. My son is using it with a USB mouse but the onboard left mouse "feels" like something is blocking it. I'm just guessing but apparently a cable is out of place and is blocking the button.

Laptop repair
I bought the insurance when I purchased my laptop. The hinge broke and cracked the screen. They fixed with no issues whatsoever. I’m impressed to say the least. I will buy the protection plan again. On my next computer.

I'm updating this review here because Amazon handled it so well. Asurion deserves 0 stars. All my experience with Asurion suggest it's rather sophisticated scam. I do not understand why they have not been stopped. But if I could rate Amazon for the way they handled this case, I would give them 5 stars.Here's the story. This is the third time I have bought an Asurion policy and been denied. All three were bogus denials. This one is probably the most outrageous. I bought the policy WITH the computer. They just wrote me this message,"We reviewed your LENOVO LAPTOP claim.The information on your claim does not match the contact information on your account.As a result, we're unable to approve your claim."WHAT????? I BOUGHT IT WITH THE COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!Again, I've done this before. What they do is wear you down. You call 10 times, every time you have to get a code, put it in. And it's not a simple code. It's mixed with caps and numbers, as if they're trying to make it difficult. I mean really, are the Russians listening? Twice I'm giving the person on the phone the information, I'm almost done, phone drops. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I worked at a gas station on the interstate. The guys would do things like let poke a hole in peoples tires while they were in the restroom. Or car would overheat because of the radiator, the mechanics would sell them a fanbelt clutch. Asurion appears to be a scam. What surprises me is that it can occur at this level and on a site like Amazons'. The executives must know that it's a scam.Here's an update. The story gets even better. I just spent 83 minutes on the phone with Amazon. They verified my purchase and the I bought the 4 year insurance policy. So then they put me on hold and after about 10 minutes the person comes back on, says that they have Asurion rep on the line and they will take care of everything. Amazon leaves and I'm talking to Asurion. The women checks and says, no, no, you bought an HP for $855 and an insurance plan for $800. Well that sounds real account like and professional except that I'm looking at the receipts and that's not at all what bought. I bought a LENOVA for $1,150 and a plan for $1,000 to $1,299. "No sir, you bought....." "Yes mam, BUT I AM LOOKING AT THE RECEIPTS. " Then she tells m, "Well, Amazon must have made a mistake." Very hard to believe because the receipts I have are from Amazon...So back on the phone with Amazon, 35 minutes to confirm again that yes, I bought a LENOVA for $1,150 and a plan for $1,000 to $1,299.....So now what? Amazon writes a message to ASURION. And now we are in limbo. Mind you, Asurion already had me mail my precious laptop to a repair shop. 10 DAYS AGO!!!!So the the denouement. I call Amazon, and say that Asurion won't honor the policy, won't even acknowledge it. Amazon refunds all the money for the computer and the Asurion policy. Imagine! I've been through things like this before. Usually, other companies, they give you a $100 gift certificate, or some cheap consolation. We need more corporate culture like Amazon.

Recommend with a couple caveats
Asurion communications were very good and the claim process was pretty quick and easy. A couple things to note, they could not repair our computer and quickly refunded the purchase price but they do NOT refund the sales tax. Secondly, our computer had a second internal SSD installed after purchase. We were not refunded the cost for this drive nor would they return it. Apparently all this is stipulated in the fine print but caveat emptor. Some refund is better than none but be sure to read the fine print!

Quick Repair and Return
Asurion met all my expectations: excellent customer service, tech support, repair service, and quick return of my laptop, which stopped working due to bad battery and power pack failure.
